Looks cool, but surely mosquitos have developed due to some preordained role within the greater context. What happens if we get rid of all the mosquitos?

That's a great question Gramps. It's great to see one of this age's great minds still be open to the fact that not all pestilence in this world is, in fact, pestilence.
Mosquitoes are venerated in some societies or are seen as reincarnations of the dead, condemned by the errors of their former lives to the condition of blood-drinking pretas. Maybe "venerated" was the wrong word!

"ham", I call shenanigans on what you say. "Venerated"!!! Getoutta here, name one society that venerates these evil mofos. Responsible for more deaths per year than non-buddhist terrorists, the US department of corrections, and the equivalent department in Iran put together. The world would be a better place without these pests.
